Your WebCT assignment has two parts:

1. Write a two-character scene/story entitled “The Date.” Here’s the scenario: one of the people on the date thinks they are breaking up; the other thinks they are about to decide to get married (confess their devotion to each other, get it on, whatever the opposite of breaking up is). Use the dialogue and actions to show misunderstanding, confusion, mixed signals. You can end the scene with the characters understanding each other, or not. Be funny, be ironic, be downright depressing, but make it good.

2. Read your classmates’ stories. Cast your vote for the best scene by posting a response to your favorite. The story with the most votes will receive 50 bonus points. Second place gets 25, and third place 10. So get your stories done and posted early, because your classmates can’t vote for what isn’t online.
